DOHA: Qatar on Wednesday continued with their training ahead of
Friday's quarterfinal against North Korea, team officials said.
Unbeaten in the tournament in three games, Qatar stormed into the
last-eight of the tournament on the back of an impressive 4-2 win over
Syria on Monday.
In the first game, Qatar beat China 3-1 followed by a 2-1 win over Iran.
Coached by Felix Sanchez, Qatar have been busy training for the
quarterfinal to be played on Friday.
The top three sides at the three-week event will get automatic
qualification at the football competition of the 2016 Olympic games to
be held in Rio de Janeiro.
Qatar finished the preliminary stage of the event in top spot in Group
A while North Korea finished second in Group B.
A total of 16 teams are featuring in the Jan 12-30 event.
