Brazilian playmaker Cicero Santos put Gharafa in front in the seventh while Julio Cesar equalised in the 44th. However, goals from Claudiu Keseru (55th) and Christiano Bolanos (75th) made it a convincing win for the former champions. Meanwhile, Al Sailiya defeated table-bottom side Al Shamal 2-1. Faouzi Ayesh (20th) and Abdulrahman Al Harazi (56th) scored for the winners while Burkina Faso striker Moumouni Dagano netted the lone goal for the losers in the 74th. Elsewhere, Al Shahaniya handed Umm Salal a shock 4-3 defeat.
