Doha: The fourth week of the Second Division League concluded last night, bringing notable shifts in the standings. Al Markhiya emerged as the new sole leader after defeating Muaither 2–1, while Al Kharaitiyat claimed their first win of the season with a 3–1 victory over Lusail. Al Bidaa also overcame Al Waab 2–1, and Al Khor shared the spoils with Mesaimeer in a 2–2 draw.

The week’s results reshaped the middle of the table, reviving the hopes of teams that had fallen behind and tightening the race among the top contenders. Al Markhiya now lead the league with 12 points, three clear of Lusail in second place. Al Bidaa’s important win lifted them to third with seven points, followed by Al Kharaitiyat in fourth with four points, level with Mesaimeer but ahead on goal difference. Muaither sit sixth with four points, Al Khor seventh with three, and Al Waab remain at the bottom with one.

In the highlight of the round, Al Markhiya overturned a first-half deficit to secure a 2–1 victory over Muaither at Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium. Albert Luque put Muaither ahead before Lucas Gabriel equalized from the penalty spot in the 66th minute after Youssoufa N’Jie was fouled inside the area. N’Jie then netted the winner in the 80th minute with a fine strike assisted by Ahmed Aboutrika.

At Hamad Al Kabir Stadium, Al Kharaitiyat put on an impressive display to beat Lusail 3–1. Jordan Gilly scored twice, in the 21st minute from the penalty spot and again in stoppage time, while Ghassan Wahid added the third in the 82nd. Amir Roustaei netted Lusail’s only goal from a penalty in the 60th minute.
