DOHA: Saud Al Mohannadi, Vice President of Qatar Football Association
(QFA), on Wednesday presided over the second meeting of Preparatory
Committee for the establishment of the Gulf Football Federation (GFF).
High ranking football officials from Iraq and Yemen were also present.
The third meeting will be held on March 19, Al Mohannadi said.
The next meeting has been called to finalize the statutes of GFF. The
finer details from the third meeting will be detailed in front of the
heads of football bodies around the region.
Wednesday's meeting was also briefed about an inspection visit of
Kuwait by the region's football in view of the 23rd Gulf Cup to be
held in Kuwait.
Al Mohannadi said more details would be made available soon after
studying remarks of the inspection committee.
The Annual General Assembly (AGM) of QFA in September backed the
formation of GFF.
