DOHA: Al Rayyan edged Arch-rivals Al Sad 2-1 in the final match of
the Qatar Football Association Futsal Cup.
The game was played at Qatar Sports Club Indoor Hall.
Al Sadd closed the first half with a 1-0 lead thanks to a Ali Mania’s
goal.
Despite missing numerous opportunities to score, Al Rayyan and Al
Sadd maintained a fast pace in the game.
Al Rayyan hit back in the second half by scoring two goals to close
out a memorable win.
At presentation ceremony, the organizing committee honoured the
match commissioner, the game referees before turning to the two
teams.
Al Sadd team players and officials received the silver medals whereas
Al Rayyan got the gold medals.
