www.sc.qa Al Rayyan Stadium has passed a major safety milestone as it completed 1.3 million man hours without Lost Time Incident (LTI), an industry standard for work completed without accidents. This milestone for the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) came as work continues to progress on the new home of Qatar Stars League champions Al Rayyan, set for completion in 2019. Al Rayyan Stadium is a proposed host venue for matches up to the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™. “The milestone of 1.3 million man hours without Lost Time Incident is very important to us, as we have very stringent site security and rules in place,” said Abdulla Al Fehani, SC Al Rayyan Project Manager. “Safety is always our top priority and we are constantly working to make sure that the highest safety and security practices are in place for any task that is carried out on site. We aim to eventually leave a lasting legacy of safety practices in people’s daily lives.” The milestone was marked recently with an awards ceremony which featured construction workers from the companies and contractors involved in the SC project, including Bin Omran, Nakheel, Ramboll, Manco International and AECOM. Safety days and awards ceremonies are held on a regular basis across all SC project sites as a top priority is placed on ensuring a safe and secure working environment for all those building the stadiums and facilities for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™.
