DOHA: Al Sadd and Duhail, football giants in Qatar, will be looking to underline their intentions in the season's opening event - the Sheikh Jassim Cup - on Saturday. Djamal Belmadi, Duhail's head coach, said his team are ready for the new football season that kicks off with a one-final. "We may have lost a number of players to national duty the last few days but we are ready for this game," Belmadi said at a press conference. "We will do our best on the pitch," he said. "It won't be easy as we are playing the top side in Qatar. Both sides are looking for the trophy," he said. "I know it won't be an easy season. It will be a hard and long season. Me and my players know we seek positive results," he said. Al Sadd coach Jesualdo Ferreira said: "It's been four months since our last official game. It's a new start." He added: "It will not be easy. We have worked hard in the off-season but many of our players were with the national side." "Duhail are a strong side and we expect a tough fight. Nobody can predict the outcome. We will make every effort to win this." The match will be played at Duhail's home soil Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium.
