DOHA: Al Sadd has won the Qatargas U23 League title in its fourth edition after beating Al Rayyan in the twenty-first round tie. Al Sadd prevailed 2-0 courtesy of goals by Rami Suhail and Mahdi Salem. The coronation ceremony came immediately after the end of the match, which took place following the preventive measures followed by the Qatar Football Association. Al Sadd had won the league title in the twentieth round after winning over Al Gharafa - the direct competitor - and increased the point margin between them and Al Gharafa, the runner-up, to 6 points, two rounds before the end of the league. Al Sadd, however, returned to win over Al Rayyan and were officially crowned champions. Al Sadd continued to collect points and raise its score to 57 points. Al Duhail won the title in the past three editions since the start of the competition. Al Sadd won the title deservedly after winning 19 matches, losing twice. Al Sadd scored 66 goals and conceded only 14 goals. The penultimate round of the competition witnessed Al Khor beating Al Duhail 3-1, Qatar and Al Ahli playing a 1-1 draw while Al-Arabi tied with Al-Kharaitiyat 1-1. It is worth noting that this season is the last of the Qatargas U-23 League competition after the Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association decided to consider the 2021-2020 season as the last season of the competition and to hold the reserve league competition, starting from the 2021-2022 sports season, instead. The Qatargas League started in the 2017-2018 sports season. The competition is played according to the league system of two rounds. The order of the participating clubs' teams is determined in light of the total number of points that each participating team gets in all its matches at the end of the competition.
