XIAN, China: Hosts China are thrilled with their 2-0 win over Qatar
with coach Gao Hongbo saying the team 'had achieved their target' from
the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game.
On Tuesday, striker Huang Bowen opened the scoring for China in the
57th minute followed by second goal scored through Wu Lei in the 86th
minute at Shaanxi Province Stadium.
"We will celebrate this win," Gao Hongbo said on Tuesday. "We have got
three points from this game. We have achieved our target," he said.
"I will take this opportunity to say that clubs helped us get the best
players. The players did a good job," Gao Hongbo said.
"The quality of play was reflected on the field of play. We did not
take any silly risks in the 90 minutes of the game," he said.
"After the first half, my players attacked well. We played an
attacking game," Gao Hongbo said.
"Qatar team has quality players. It has developed well over the years," he said.
