DOHA: Dakar Rally champion Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah has plans to use
the words 2022 World Cup on his livery during races, it emerged on
Monday.
Al Attiyah, who won the Dakar Rally title last week, said during a TV
interview that Qatar will be able to put out a memorable World Cup in
2022.
He said the event will be one to remember as Qatar's sports love is
known the world over.
"I am sure that all of my family will witness history in the making as
far as Qatar is concerned," Al Attiyah said.
He said Qatar has brought immense delight to thousands of fans who
have turned up to watch the matches of the 2015 World Handball
Championship currently on in Doha.
Al Attiyah, who has an Olympic shooting medal to his name, said Qatar
has state-of-the-art sports facilities to showcase during dozens of
sports events it stages every season.
He said he would make every effort to popularize Qatar's preparations
for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
