Emir Cup final: Technical meeting discusses key matters

DOHA: The Technical Committee meeting ahead of Friday's Emir Cup final on Wednesday discussed key matters, officials have said. Lekhwiya will lock horns withAl Sadd at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in the final of the Emir Cup, the most popular footballtournament in the country. The meeting was chaired by Ali Hammoud Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Competitions Department of QFA. Abdullah Al Sulaiti, deputy media official for the match, and Abdullah Al Balushi were also present. Details showed the Al Sadd will sport all black attire for the final while Lekhwiya players will wear all red. Only a handful of officials will be allowed on the pitch before and after the game, officials said on Wednesday. It was also confirmed that penalty kicks will be used in case both teams fail to emerge clear winners in regulation time. The referees' decision will be final and abiding, both team officials agreed.
