DOHA: The Technical Committee meeting ahead of Friday's Emir Cup final
on Wednesday discussed key matters, officials have said.
Lekhwiya will lock horns withAl Sadd at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in
the final of the Emir Cup, the most popular footballtournament in the
country.
The meeting was chaired by Ali Hammoud Al Nuaimi, Chairman of
Competitions Department of QFA. Abdullah Al Sulaiti, deputy media official
for the match, and Abdullah Al Balushi were also present.
Details showed the Al Sadd will sport all black attire for the final
while Lekhwiya players will wear all red.
Only a handful of officials will be allowed on the pitch before and
after the game, officials said on Wednesday.
It was also confirmed that penalty kicks will be used in case both teams
fail to emerge clear winners in regulation time.
The referees' decision will be final and abiding, both team officials agreed.
According to details, the players and fans will use different gates
for entry into the match venue
o Gate No. (1) players, referees and coaches television transport.
o Gate No. (3) for VVIP personalities.
o Gate No. (4) of the media and the press.
o Gate No. (5) Ambulance and medical staff
• Entry points for fans:
o Gate No. 1 VIP fans of Al Sadd
o Gate No. 10 for VIP fans of Lekhwiya
o Gates 2,3,4,5 for the fans of Al Sadd Club.
o gates 6,7,8,9 fans of Lekhwiya.
o Gate No. 7 for fans with special needs.
