Emir Cup trophy tour: More schools welcome QFA delegation

DOHA: After a successful campaign of visiting a number of educational institutions and government organisations over the course of the last two weeks, the Qatar Football Association's (QFA) special delegation stopped by more schools to extend their Emir Cup trophy tour. On the their recent visits, the QFA delegation were welcome by students of the Lebanese School - Qatar, the Cairo Private School and the Al Yarmouk Independent Preparatory School for Boys - Doha. %d8%a7%d9%84%d9%84%d8%a8%d9%86%d8%a7%d9%86%d9%8a%d8%a9-548x365 ** Outstanding reception at the Lebanese School - Qatar The QFA team was welcomed by Dr. Wajih Asaad, Director General of the School, Ms. Nancy Haddad, Director of the preparatory and secondary levels, and PE teacher Samir Ghazwini. The students engaged in conversation with the QFA delegation on the strengths of the four teams competing in the semifinals. Mr. Alaa Sedqi, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, and Professor Mohammed Kamal, Coordinator of Physical Education, were also present. The school students asked QFA officials about the history of the tournament that was first held in 1972. A special festival at the school premises saw students and teachers taking turns for individual or group shots. The event was organized and coordinated by the Department of Physical Education at the school under the supervision of national coach Abdullah Mubarak. International referee Khamis Al-Kuwari and Mohamed Timur were also present. The festival was attended by a large gathering of Qatari football players and coaches and members of the media. The players who were present at the gathering included Yusuf Adam, Abdel Aziz Hassan, Asim Madbo, Khalid Radwan, Sheikh Hassan, Mosaad Al-Hamad, Abdullah Al-Kuwari and Ali Saeed Al Mohannadi. The list of referees included Sultan Al-Sufayani, Faisal Abdullah, Abdullah Al-Nuba and Hatem Al-Buji. Mohammed Saadoun Al-Kuwari, the beIN presenter, was also present.
