DOHA: A series of exciting battles was witnessed in round 14 of the
Qatar Amateur League where Umm Afai retained their lead at the top.
Alwaab crushed Dhakira 3-1 after two goals by Hishaam and Ahmed. For
Dhakhita, Sulaiman scored in the first half.
In another clash in round 14,Umm Afai proved too good for Madinat
Khalifa, winning the one-sided battle 3-0 after goals by Mohammed,
Omar, Efani and Omar. A
Amwaaj also emerged as one of the winners, beating Quds.
In other games, Kahramaa beat Doha 2-1 after goals by Adam and Ahmed.
Sharif scored for Doha.
Military Command posted a big win over Latin, claiming a 5-0 victory
after goals by Abdo, Syed and Mahmoud.
Lusail struggled for a while before beating the British Community
while Matar fought back to edge Kopros 3-1.
Afai lead the points table with a tally of 34 after 14 games, while
Alwaab are in second place (32). Amwaj (32) are in third spot while
Quds are in fourth place with 27 points.
Military Command (25) are in fifth spot followed by Kahramaa in sixth
place. Matar are in sixth place.
