DOHA: A series of exciting clashes were witnessed in week seven of Qatargas League over the weekend when matches were held at Al Arabi Stadium and Al Wakrah Stadium. Al Markhiya beat Al Sadd 3-1 to bag key points in the title race. Saud Ibrahim Bilal (18), Daniel Santos (45) and Abdullah Baba (64) scored the goals for the winners. In another clash, Al Kharaitiyat beat Al Khor 2-0 after goals from Ahmed Al Shammari (67) Khaled Nasser (81) at Al Wakrah Stadium. In a rather dull clash, Lekhwiya and Al Arabi failed to score in their match at Al Khor Stadium. Al Rayyan battled to a 2-2 draw against Al Shamal at Al Arabi Stadium. Fahad Khalfan and Eric Casey scored for Al Rayyan while Younis Jacob and Ali Fareeddin scored for Al Shamal. Meanwhile, in another drawn match, Al Gharafa and Qatar SC had to settle for a 4-4 scoreline at Al Wakrah Stadium.
