DOHA: Qatar's football future and development plans came up for
extensive discussions on Tuesday when Fahad Thani met with Nihad Sogar
of FIFA.
Fahad Thani is QFA"s Development Director while Sogar handles football
matters related to West Asia.
The two officials met at QFA's headquarters located inside Al Bidda Tower.
The visit took place as FIFA takes its message on the game's
development to all parts of the globe.
During his discussion, Fahad Thani explained QFA's elaborate plans to
develop the junior football at all levels.
He said QFA remains committed in organizing conferences or workshops
that detail the finer parts of youth coaching and general fitness.
He said player management also remains one of QFA's major plans.
Fahad Thani said he met with club coaches and football officials
during a special meeting last week.
A former coach with Qatar's junior and senior sides, Fahad Thani said
club coaches had assured QFA of regular communication with their
development programs that focuses on juniors.
He informed Sogar that QFA provides technical assistance to clubs and
players at all levels.
Fahad Thani said QFA interacts with the Asian Football Confederation
(AFC) 'in every matter related to the development of the sport in the
continent'.
Sogar praised QFA's initiatives to organize the game among amateurs
and professionals.
The two officials later exchanged mementos and posed for pictures.
