DOHA: Qatar were joined by teams from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the
United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman at the Gulf Football Festival that
kicked off on Thursday.
The teams are assembled from a batch of players born in 2003 or after.
The aim of the festival is to inculcate a trend of how the game is
played and run at various youth levels across the region.
Qatar beat Bahrain while Saudi Arabia played a draw against Oman in
another clash in morning clashes.
In the evening games, Qatar lost to the UAE while Saudi Arabia beat Bahrain.
The matches continue with Oman taking on Bahrain and Saudi Arabia
meeting the UAE.
