DOHA: A 10-day football exhibition to showcase the game's development
in the country will be held at Katara under the auspices of Al Rayyan
Veterans Club.
The exhibition is backed by Qatar Football Association (QFA), it
emerged. The exhibition will run from February 7 to 17.
The details of the exhibition were handed out by Mansoor Al Ansari,
Secretary General, QFA.
Ali bin Mohammed Al Ali, Chairman of the veterans club, Mohammed
Ghanem Al Rumaihi Vice-Chairman, and other officials also attended the
press conference.
"The idea behind this exhibition is to run a weekly show of veteran
players to showcase the game's development in the country," Al Ansari
said.
Details of the Doha's iconic football venue - the Doha Stadium - were
also given at the press conference.
Al Ansari said such exhibitions will help the future generations of
the country to understand the finer parts of the game's history in the
country.
