DOHA: Al Makrakhiya strengthened its points lead at the top of
Qatargas League by crushing Lekhwiya 4-0 in a game played at Al Khor
Stadium in round four.
Al Makrakhiya have 12 points from four matches.
Mohammed Ahmed (15), Kane Mahajairi (23), Peter Opiyo (54) and Ali
Khamis (80) scored the goals for the winners.
Lekhwiya are still pegged at 9 points after four rounds.
In another game, Al Rayyan beat Al Shamal 4-2 in their round four clash.
The winners took a 3-0 lead at the end of the first half and then
added one more early in the second to seal a comfortable win.
Ali (67) and Harison (89) reduced the deficit for Al Shamal.
Al Rayyan have 5 points while Al Shamal have a tally of 4.
Umm Salal, meanwhile, beat El Jaish 3-2. Umm Salal have a tally
of 6 points.
Al Sailiyah also produced a quality win, beat Al Wakra 5-0. Ali Mejbel
scored a brace while Rahman Massad fired one for Al Wakrah.
