DOHA: QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani
congratulated the winners at the QFA Award Ceremony that brought down
curtains on the football season on Saturday.
"It was an amazing season. We got to see high intensity football," QFA
President said on Sunday.
"I congratulate the award winners and say 'well done' to them," he added.
"The evening was a standout event of great memories and appreciation
all around," Sheikh Hamad said.
"I also congratulate the organisers of the awards ceremony. It was a
very well organised event," he said.
"The 2015-16 season was better than the previous year of football.
Clearly the standards of play went up and we saw intense battles," he
said.
In response to a question about the increase in the number of seats at
the Asian Champions League in 2017, QFA President said things would be
resolved soon.
"I applaud El Jaish and Lekhwiya for reaching the last 16 of the AFC
Champions League," he said.
