DOHA: Two-time QSL champions Lekhwiya scrapped past El Jaish 2-1 in the twentieth round match of the Qatar Stars League held at Lekhwiya Stadium. The win placed Lekhwiya at the top of the league's standings for the first time this season with a total of 28 points. Qatari international Adel Ahmed broke the deadlock just 12 minutes into the match, after capitalizing on El Jaish keeper Saoud Al Khater error. El Jaish midfielder Mohammed Methnani added to his team's woes as he was sent off directly on 32 minutes for an inattentive tackle, however, Mohammed Muntari leveled the score on 58 minutes. Tunisian Yousif Al Mesakni sealed the match for Lekhwiya in the 86th minute through a work of art play that saw him outdo three defenders before placing the ball past the keeper.
