DOHA: QSL Leaders Lekhwiya survived a determined Al Gharafa comeback to record a 3-2 victory and extend their tenure at the top of the Qatar stars league for yet another week. Set on reviving his reputation as Qatar's top striker after being omitted from the national squad in the Gulf Cup and then the Asian Cup; Sebastian Soria netted on two occasions on 15 and 36 minutes, while Ismail Mohammed added the third goal five minutes inside the second half. Mostafa Abdi and Mohammed Yassir (OG) narrowed the deficit for Al Gharafa. The win raised Lekhwiya's tally to 39 points, meanwhile Al Gharafa's 23 points remain unchanged. In other games, El Jaish defeated Al Arabi 2-0, Umm Salal drubbed Al Shamal 5-0 and Al Kharaitiyat blanked Al Shahaniya 4-0.
