DOHA: In-form Muaither beat El jaish 3-2 to maintain their spot in the Qatragas League. In other round nine matches, Al Gharafa beat Al Rayyan 1-0 while Markhiya crushed Qatar SC 3-0. Salman Ali (52), Daniel Santos (60 and 89) scored the goals in Markhiya's win. Fahid Satam Al-Shammari scored in the 25th minute for Al Gharafa in their win over Al Rayyan. Ayman Abdullah (38), Ahmed Kanoo (43) and Mahmoud Za'tara (73) scored for Muaither in their win over El Jaish. Abdul Rahman Mansour (57 and 58) scored for El Jaish. League leaders Muaither have 23 points from nine matches while second-placed Al Markhiya have 20 points. Al Ahli (19) are in third place whereas Al Shahaniya in fourth spot. Al Rayyan and Qatar SC complete the top six sides. Last year's Qatargas League champions Al Rayyan are currently taking the Qatar Stars League by storm after winning all their eleven matches so far in thecompetition, amassing a total of 33 points, ten points ahead of second placed El Jaish.
