National personnel introduced to specific skills management program

DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Qatar Stars League (QSL), in partnership with Josoor institute have launched a skills management program aimed at developing business management in football. The program that will last for about eight weeks is for Qatari nationals only, details have revealed.. The program, launched on February 16, ends on April 8, 2015, it was announced. This program is part of plans and initiatives of QFA and QSL to provide practical education, training and development in business management and leadership in the field of football for Qatari nationals. The program will also include a two-week stint at Berlitz Institute in the United Kingdom. This will be followed by an educational program for four weeks in football business at the University of Liverpool. At the end of the program, the participants will move to the United States to share creative leadership program for a week at Georgetown University in Washington. It should be noted that this entire program has been designed specifically for candidates of QFA and QSL. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, the QFA President, said: "The main objective of this program is to improve the skills of young talent from our staff in the field of business and sports management." He added: "This program will also enhance the leadership skills of our future leaders in this area through access to some of the best international practices and theories offered by leading educational institutions." Hassan Al-Kuwari, Badr Al Mansouri, Iman Al-Dosari, Ahmed Al-Adsani, Ahmed Sayed, Hamad Al Hajeri, Abdulrahman Abdo and Khaled Al Hamar have featured at such programs. Hani Balan, QSL said: "This is a great and important opportunity for these individuals to develop personal and professional expertise in various management skills." He added: "When these young candidates return, they would be ready to help in the overall development of football in Qatar and the rest of the world."
