DOHA: Qatar Players union has signed an MoU with Qatar Foundation
for Social Action to underline the importance of players engaging the
society for healthier living.
Salman Ansari, President of Qatar Players Union, joined Al Sadd star
Xavi and scores of other players at a press conference to sign the MoU
with Qatar Foundation for Social Action.
Organizations like Shaffallah, Dhreima and other charity bodies will
engage the society in creating a healthier environment for people of all
ages.
Ansari said: "There is no better way than urging players to take the message
of goodwill to youngsters of all ages."
He added: "We have signed this deal to strengthen our resolve in playing
an active role in social responsibility."
"We will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup and clearly we understand the
importance of active social responsibility roles," he said.
The players will visit various schools, charities and organisations where they
will educate youngsters on a variety of topics.
