Qatar Amateur League: Ninth round of matches conclude

DOHA: The ninth round of matches in the Qatar Amateur League have concluded. Alwaab, Amwaj and Umm Afai registered wins in their respective battles over the weekend. Al Matar played a 1-1 draw against Al Thakira in round nine. Al Matar have a tally of 21 points from nine games. Al Thakira are third on the table with 20 points. Al Waab beat Kopros with an attacking game. Mahmoud Hosni (14 and 53), Mohammed Abdul Salam (50 and 57), Mohammed Mustafa (34), Mohammed Abdul Razak (16) and Abdul Rahman Mustafa (67) scored the goals for the winners. Kahramaa beat Umm Afai to pick up three points. Kahramaa are fourth on the points table with a tally of 19. Islam Lutfi, Abu Bakr amd Ibrahim Kieta scored for the winners. Amwaj beat Military Union 2-1 to secure the fifth spot on the points table with a tally of 18. Bader Ali bin and Mohammed Abdullah Student scored the goals for the winners. Lusail beat Khalifa City, Al Quds hammered 5-1, Doha crushed British Community 3-1, while McCain edged Latin 2-1.
