ZURICH: Qatar. playing at full strength, on Thursday beat Jordan in an
international friendly played during their training camp in
Switzerland.
Coached by Daniel Carreno, Qatar won 3-2 with key strikers Sebastian
Soria, Rodrigo Tabata and Hassan Al Haydos all starting the game.
Soria returned to his goal-poaching form and netted all three Qatari goals.
Last week Qatar beat Iraq 2-1 in their international friendly in Doha.
Qatar will now fly back to Doha on August 20 before playing one more
friendly ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against
hosts Iran in Tehran on September.
On August 25, Qatar host Thailand in their last friendly before the
Iran clash in Tehran.
Other teams in Qatar's World Cup qualifying group include China, South
Korea, Uzbekistan and Syria.
Other Asian teams include Iraq, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, the
UAE and Thailand.
