DOHA: Qatar played out a 1-1 draw against a side made up of German professional
players on Monday, this was Qatar’s third consecutive draw in a summer
European training camp held in preparation for two World Cup qualifying
games in September against Bhutan and Hong Kong.
Qatar will host Singapore on August 28 in a final tune-up at Jassim bin
Hamad Stadium.
Following a goalless first half, influential striker Hassan Al Haidoos scored
on 72 minutes, just five minutes after the Germans took the lead.
A total of 27 players are featuring in the two-stop training camp in
Switzerland and Austria.
Qatar beat Maldives in their first 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match in June.
Qatar next take on Bhutan on September 3 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Soon after playing their game at air-conditioned Jassim Bin Hamad
Stadium, Carreno-coached Qatar will fly out to Hong Kong for their
third qualifying game at Mongkok Stadium on September 8.
