ZURICH: World Cup hosts Qatar have dropped a spot
in the latest FIFA rankings.
Qatar, who have 435 points, are ranked 78th in the world.
Al Anabi were ranked 77 at the start of July.
Qatar are ranked 9th Asia while Japan (44) are at the top
in the continent. Australia (45), South Korea (49) and Saudi
Arabia (59) are the next top sides in Asia.
Uzbekistan (64), the UAE (74), China (77), Qatar (78) and
Syria (80) complete the top teams in Asia.
Meanwhile, Brazil returned to the top of the FIFA / Coca-Cola
World Rankings after a month-long break to replace Germany
who fell to second place.
The Argentinians remained in third place, while the three giants
in the top five were joined by two unbeaten teams in the region -
Switzerland and Poland.
Portugal, Belgium and Jamaica are the other top teams in the world.
