DOHA: Qatar squad on Sunday hit the training ground with full force
welcoming back key striker Khalfan Ibrahim who has played little
football following an injury.
Qatar take on Maldives in a 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 Asian Cup
joint qualifier at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium tomorrow.
The squad also saw the return of Hamid Ismail and Ibrahim Magid.
Coach Daniel Carreno led the training after giving the team a day's
rest on Friday.
Qatar beat China 1-0 in their Group C clash at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
Al Anabi are at the top of Group C having won all of their four
matches in the qualifying campaign that kicked-off with a 1-0 win over
Maldives in June.
QFA officials headed by Khalifa Khamis also attended the training
session on Saturday and Sunday.
Qatar will train behind closed doors on Monday, it was announced on Sunday.
Maldives side will land in Doha after their short preparatory camp in India.
The QFA technical meeting related to the match will be held on Monday.
Oman's Ahmed Abu Bakr, Rashid Al Ghaithi and Abdullah Al Jidran will
