DOHA: Qatar juniors on Wednesday lost to the United Arab Emirates
(UAE) 1-0 in their opening game of the Gulf Youth Championship.
The only goal of the match was scored by Faisal Ahmed in the 76th
minute after the two sides produced an exciting battle on the pitch.
The visitors produced slick football in the first half. However in the
second half, the home team dominated proceedings but failed to score a
goal.
Qatar's Abdulrahman Mohammed missed an easy chance to score in the
10th minute of the match as a poor finish resulted in the home team
failing to take lead early in the game.
A defensive error resulted in the UAE side scoring the only goal of
the match in the 76th minute.
