VALENCIA: Argentina on Tuesday beat Qatar 2-0 in their opening match at
the C.O.T.I.F Torneo Internacional de Fútbol Sub-20 de L’Alcúdia.
Argentina, a powerhouse in South America, scored both goals in the first
15 minutes.
Jose Concenhy and Lauataro Martinez found the back of the goal as Argentina
sealed the game in the early stages.
However, Qatar - coached by Oscar Cano - regrouped and produced attacking
football in phases.
Striker Hassan Ahmed missed a couple of chances to score for Qatar in the second half.
Qatar's Abdulrasheed was shown the red card in the 80th minute.

Qatar will now play Mexico in their next game followed by matches against Costa
Rica and Morocco.
Cano's side is using the event to prepare for this year's AFC U-20 Asian Cup to be
held in September.
The boys in maroon have already conducted a training camp in Switzerland
besides playing a friendly games against F.C Sion.
Qatar are the defending champions of the tournament following their win in
Myanmar in October 2014.
