DOHA: Playing aggressive football for most part of the game, Qatar's
Olympic side on Friday produced a slick 3-3 draw against Kyrgyzstan in
the opening match of the Three-Nation International Football
Tournament.
The match was played at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium as the home team
continued with its series of preparations for the Asian Cup qualifiers
to be played later this month.
The tournament has been brought together by the Qatar Football
Association (QFA) to give the Qatar Under-23 players - coached by
Felix Sanchez - some much-needed practice ahead of the Asian Cup
qualifiers.
The first game was strong and distinct from the visitors who lead 3-1
win over Qatar after two goals from Kyrgyzstan by du Cheikhov in the
17th minute and DuĊĦinko in the 20th minute.
Al-Annabi responded with a three-goal blitz by Tamim Al-Muhaizah in
the 24th minute. Later Ahmed Al-Saadi and Ahmad Moin scored from two
penalty kicks in the 35th and 39th minutes.
The tournament matches will be held at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium and
Aspire pitch number 7, QFA said.
In the lead-up to the event, Qatar beat Singapore 3-0 in a friendly
played at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. In another friendly played at
