DOHA: Qatar's Olympic squad was held to a goalless draw by Yemen in
their West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Championship but the home
side still managed to reach the semi-finals.
The home team played a fighting game at Lekhwiya Stadium to top Group A.
Qatar bagged a total of 7 points after three matches. Yemen finished
with 4 points.
Palestine and Jordan were the other sides in the group.
Qatar's Asim Madibo emerged as the best player from the game,
producing slick football.
The event is being staged to help Olympic sides prepare for the AFC
U23 Championship to be held in Doha next January.
