ISTANBUL, Turkey: Qatar's Olympic squad on Saturday kicked
off the final phase of their preparations ahead of this month's
AFC U-23 Championship, details showed.
Coached by Felix Sanchez, Qatar squad recently returned from
Spain where they spent a couple of weeks preparing for the
Jan 12 to 30 event.
The top three sides at the Doha event will seal an automatic berth
at this year's Olympic Games.
The training session included fitness drills, team officials said on
Saturday.
Later the boys rested since the team management wants to keep 'the
players fresh'.
Qatar squad will be in training daily until January 7 when they return
to Doha, officials said on Saturday.
