MALAGA, Spain: Qatar's U-19 boys on Wednesday crushed Cotsa Rica 2-0
in what was an international friendly between the two sides.
In what was an impressive performance from the Qatar boys, the
friendly provided ample opportunity to test its tactics and game-plan
against the Costa Rica side.
The two goals were scored by Hazem Ahmed and Khalid Munir in the first
of the feisty contest.
Two days ago, Qatar - coached by Oscar Cano - lost to Ivory Coast 2-3
but on Wednesday the same bunch produced a memorable performance.
Qatar squad along with the coach will now head back to Doha and
continue their training sessions, team officials said on Wednesday.
Also known as 'Al Anabi', Qatar are preparing for this year's AFC U-19
Asian Cup to be held in Bahrain.
This is Qatar's second major training camp outside the country.
Qatar last month visited Morocco for a similar training camp that
saw them play Morocco twice.
Qatar will visit Croatia from April 15 to 22 for their third overseas
training camp in as many months.
'Al Anabi' will also play a couple of friendlies on 19 and 21 April
againstthe host nation during their trainingcamp in Croatia.
