DOHA: Qatar, coached by Felix Sanchez, have returned home
from the United Kingdom following an extensive training session.
The training camp was held in Birmingham for two weeks. During
the training camp, Qatar played three friendlies.
The Qatar team will take on Syria in Malaysia on August 31 in a
2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game.
Qatar take on China on September 5 in Doha at Khalifa International
Stadium in their last Asian Zone qualifying fixture.
The squad has been given a short rest with fresh resuming on
Sunday.
Qatar is expected to play Turkmenistan on Wednesday in an
international friendly.
A QFA official said team captain Ibrahim Majid is not available
because of suspension for one game.
Majid is expected to return for the home clash against China.
Al Annabi is also expected to determine the case of midfielder
Ahmed Moien who underwent surgery recently.
