SYDNEY: Qatar on Tuesday underwent light training ahead of their second Asian Cup match, Qatar Football Association (QFA) officials said. Watched by QFA President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, coach Djamel Belmadi led the squad at the training session under a cloud cover in Sydney. Qatar will be playing Iran in game two on Thursday after their 4-1 loss to regional rivals the UAE on Sunday. The Qatar delegation consisting of players and officials reached Sydney following their one-hour flight from Canberra, the team's headquarters for the Asian Cup. Striker Khalfan Ibrahim and Kareem Boudiaf also featured in the training drills despite slight niggles. Qatar is attempting to be the first team to win the Asian Cup following a Gulf Cup triumph. Qatar won the Gulf Cup in November. AH3Q6784
