DOHA: Qatar U-19 national team on Wednesday edged past hosts Tunisia in a
friendly planned as part of preparations for this year's AFC Asian Cup
to be held in Myanmar in October.
Qatar won 3-2 after resolute attacks on the home team's defense line.
Tunisia got off to a flying start, scoring two goals in the first 34 minutes.
However, the Felix Sanchez-coached Qatar side hit back with three
goals to win the match.
Fadil Akram, Nasser Ibrahim and Sultan Al Bareek scored for Qatar in
the tense clash.
Tunisia tried to arrest the goal-scoring slide but Qatar defended well
to emerge as convincing winners.
Qatar will play their next match on January 23.
