KUWAIT CITY: Qatar Olympic squad on Wednesday put it past their Iraqi counterparts, winning their friendly 1-0.
Qatar, who are preparing for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup in China next month, played well coordinated football to complete their hard-fought win at Al Jahra Stadium.
Qatar team will continue training until the end of this month when they will fly out for China where they are set to spend at least 7-8 days to acclimatise.
The Qatar squad will leave for China on December 31 and will hold a training camp in China before the start of the continental championship from January 1 to 6, 2018.
Qatar will play in Group A alongside China, Uzbekistan and Oman.
