DOHA: Qatar scored an impressive 2-0 win over English
Championship side Leeds United in a friendly at St. George’s
Park, Birmingham on Wednesday.
Qatar dominated their opponents throughout. They took
a two-goal cushion at half-time through Ahmed Alaa (16th)
and Ali Asad (21st).
The team is camped at St. George’s Park, one of the
most important training centers in Europe. The center
is under the supervision of the English FA.
Sanchez is leading his team in three friendlies during the
UK trip with the second match slated for August 13.
The second match will see Al Annabi take on Nottingham
Forest. The last warm-up game against Andorra will be
played on August 16.
After returning to Doha, the squad will continue to train
until it leaves for Malaysia on August 29.
Sanchez and his boys will return to Doha on September
1 and train for their game on September 5.
