DOHA: Al Shamal crushed Muaither 5-1 in their Qatargas League match over the weekend when a string of intense battles were fought across football pitches in the country. Seeking a promotion to Qatar Stars League (QSL) - the top tier football league in the country - Al Shamal won the fifth-round clash easily at Al Wakrah Stadium. Tommy Rese scored two goals while Ali Fareeduddin, Jose Harison and Mohammed Haris fired one each for Al Shamal. For Mauither, the deficit was reduced by Mohen Hussaini.
