DOHA: Qatar SC, Mesaimeer and Al Shamal surged ahead in the Qatargas League with key victories over the weekend. In a game played at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, Qatar SC continued their winning streak by crushing Al Ahli 7-0 to secured second spot on the points table. Second-placed Qatar SC have 38 points while in-form Al Markhiya lead the points tally with 42 after round 14. Losing side Al Ahli are in 11th spot with 20 points after 14 rounds. Qatar SC scored five goals in the first half followed by two more in the second to complete their dominant show. In another clash, Mesaimeer stunned Lekhwiya 2-0 at Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium. Mesaimeer are in third spot with 33 points. Meanwhile Al Rayyan beat host Al Khor 3-0 while Muaither edged Umm Salal 2-0. In other clashes, Al Shamal hammered Al Sailiyah 4-0 while Al Kharaitiyat beat Al Arabi 3-2. In the next round, Al Shahaniya take on Al Gharafa, El Jaish face Al Sadd and Al Wakra tackle Al Markhiya. Al Shamal (4th, 31 points), Al Rayyan (5th, 26 points), Al Wakrah (6th, 25 points), Al Kharaitiyat (7th, 21 points), Lekhwiya (8th, 21 points), Al Ahli (9th, 20 points) and Al Khor (10th, 19 points) complete the top-10 in Qatargas League.
