DOHA: The Qatar Football Association announced that the U-23 Qatargas League will continue in the 2020-21 football season.
This was confirmed by Qatar Football Association (QFA).
Within the framework of the regulatory procedures for competitions for the seasons 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, the Executive Committee of QFA decided the following:
1- Keeping the Qatargas U-23 League competition for season 2020-2021 with the same conditions applied.
2- Canceling the Qatargas U-23 League competition starting from the 2021/2022 sports season.
3- Establishing the Reserve League competition, starting from the 2021-2022 season in place of the Qatargas League U-23 competition, taking into account the following conditions:
A- Only the first division clubs playinh in the QNB Stars League for the 2021-2022 season will participate in the reserve league.
B- Cancellation of the player-list of those under 23 years old.
C - Registration of a number not exceeding (28 players) in the unified category of the first and reserve team together with QFA.
