DOHA: Qatar U-23 side pre-Asian Cup build up is taking shape
with the announcement of three friendlies over the coming few
weeks, details have revealed on Monday.
Qatar will take on United Arab Emirates at Abdullah bin Khalifa
Stadium on November 8, before hosting Australia at Grand Hamad
Stadium on the 12th of the same month.
A third friendly scheduled to take place on November 17 at Abdullah
bin Khalifa Stadium against African heavyweights Côte d'Ivoire.
Under the watchful eye of Coach Felix Sanchez, the team will undergo
a strenuous training camp from November 1 to 17 as part of Qatar’s
preparation for the AFC U-23 Cup to be held in Doha in January 2016.
Another final training camp will commence on December 14 and remain
active until the start of the event in January.
The top three sides at the Doha event will qualify for the football competition
at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games next year.
