DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has successfully conducted
a two-day workshop that highlighted electronic registration and
transfer of players.
The workshop was attended by representatives of Qatar Stars League
(QSL) clubs and second division sides.
The workshop was conducted to highlight the latest prevalent methods
to register players at clubs worldwide.
Abdulaziz Al-Ansari, head of the clubs and the players' affairs,
opened the workshop on behalf of Secretary-General of QFA Mansoor Al
Ansari.
Representatives of a Croatian company helping in implementing the
program were also present.
The topic of new FIFA rules of registration and transfer of players
was also discussed in detail.
The participants praised the workshop and said the procedures detailed
in the meetings would streamline matters on registration and transfer
of players in QSL.
Abdul Aziz Al-Ansari said: "There is no doubt that this workshop will
contribute significantly to the process of registration of players
electronically and our commitment at QFA on the importance of
participation of clubs at this workshop."
He added: "The current period will witness a trial operation of the
program, which will continue for a week, because the work is done
before the start of the new football season. I am confident the
football clubs have picked up valuable lessons by sending their
representatives to the workshop."
