DOHA: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) with support of the Asian
Football Confederation (AFC) have launched a coaching clinic for
goalkeepers.
The clinic kicked off on February 1.
QFA said the course ends on February 9.
Fitness trainers and goalkeepers from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab
Emirates (UAE) are also participating in the clinic.
The first session was opened by QFA official Younis Ahmed who welcomed
the participants with a short speech.
He said such clinics would be scheduled in the future also to help
goalkeepers fine-tune their fitness and performances for club and
country.
AFC officials also lauded the QFA initiative, saying modern-day
football players including goalkeepers needed to pick up the right
trends in professional sport from an early age.
