DOHA: President of Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani will preside over the Qatari delegation, which is
heading Sunday to Bahrain, to take part in the meetings of the 27th AFC
Ordinary Congress 2017 which will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel
in Manama, Bahrain, on May 8, and the FIFA Congress set to take place on
the 11th of the same month.
The Qatari delegation also consists of QFA vice president Saud Al Mohannadi
and Executive Committee member Hani Balan.
The AFC Congress is the Asian Football Confederation’s highest decision-making
body, with all its Member Associations represented at its biannual meetings.
Sheikh Hamad will also chair the General Assembly meeting of the Arab Gulf Cup
Football Federation (AGCFF) on Tuesday.
The main items on the agenda are the elections for key AFC and FIFA positions.
