QFA President heads General Assembly meeting

  DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Wednesday headed the General Assembly meeting of its Executive Committee in the presence of top football office officials.     The GA meeting was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Salwa Hall, in the attendance of QFA Vice President Saud Al-Muhannadi, QFA Secretary-General Mansoor Al Ansari, Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al-Buainain and Hani Talib Balan along with heads of clubs and their representatives.     The QFA President welcomed the football family with the opening remarks by wishing everyone ahead of Qatar's National Day on December 18.     In his speech, the QFA President highlighted last season's main achievements and talked in detail about QFA's future plans and means to develop the game in the country.     The Secretary-General, in his remarks, presented the topics that were on the agenda for the GA meeting.     Al Ansari began by announcing that the General Assembly was held in accordance with the Statute of QFA besides mentioning the appointment of the members of the minutes of the meeting which detailed matters relating to Al Rayyan, Qatar SC and Al Shahaniya football clubs.     Adoption of financial statements, the budget and other football-related items proposed by the members or the Executive Committee of QFA were also discussed,     The appointments of new club presidents were also notified.     The QFA President suggested to the representatives of the clubs to form a mini-committee in order to discuss club matters to resolve issues.
