DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani on Thursday met with a Kuwaiti Sports
Parliamentary Delegation headed Abdullah Al Maayouf.
A number of higher officials accompanied Al Maayouf, who is also the
chairman of the Youth and Sports Authority in Kuwait.
Ibrahim Khalil Al Mohannadi, a member of the QFA Executive Committee,
and Ali Dawood, were also present during the meeting.
The topic of lifting football sanctions on Kuwait was also discussed
during the meeting.
Ways to develop football in both countries also came up for detailed discussion.
The topic of sanction on Kuwait football body will be discussed at the
forthcoming FIFA Executive Committee meeting to be held in Zurich on
February 26.
Al Maayouf thanked QFA officials for the meeting and said both
countries looked forward to developing the sport in the region.
