DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar
Football Association (QFA), met with Olympic squad players ahead of
Tuesday's AFC U-23 Championship against China.
The President urged the players to give their best, insisting the key
to success was team work.
Qatar are one of four sides in Group A. Other teams include Syria and Iran.
The 16-team event commences on Tuesday with two games.
The President also met with coach Felix Sanchez during the same
gathering on Monday.
"It is time to redouble your efforts on the pitch," Sheikh Hamad told
the players.
"This is a huge event for you all. You have prepared well and now we
would like to see you dominate your rivals," he said.
"The nation is behind you. We will support you in every game," the
president said.
The top three sides in the event will get 2016 Olympic Games berths.
